About Exceptional Therapy Services
A private practice providing individual speech, language, auditory processing, oral motor and feeding therapy in your home or school/day care. Free phone consultations to discuss whether your child may benefit from a comprehensive speech and language or feeding evaluation. In addition to individual therapy, Exceptional Therapy Services provides a full range of services for children with various delays and disorders. These services include: Screenings, Consultations, Evaluations, and collaboration with schools, physicians, and other related service providers.  
Mrs. Varnado has over twenty years of extensive professional experience working with both adults and children to resolve a variety of speech, language and related disorders. She has provided these services in home settings, schools, clinical pediatric outpatient clinics, child developmental centers and private practices. She brings particular expertise in receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, tongue thrust, apraxia, autism spectrum disorders, fluency disorders, feeding delays, cleft palate, auditory processing disorders, phonological awareness delays, pragmatic/social delays, developmental delays and genetic disorders. 

Mrs. Varnado received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Arts in Communicative Disorders at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and has extensive training and certification in oral motor and feeding disorders. She has worked with and trained directly under Debra Beckman, who developed the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and intervention exercises. She has also worked under Mindy Cohen, M.Ed., CCC-SLP who developed the Toddler Talk program. Jennifer is certified in Integrated Listening Systems, Fast ForWord and Interactive Oral Sensory Motor Techniques.  Mrs. Varnado is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice speech-language therapy in the state of Florida.  

Mrs. Varnado uses fun and interesting techniques she has developed to make therapy enjoyable and successful.  She has great communication skills with parents, caregivers and clients.  She gives home programs that are easy to complete and has a proven track record of graduating clients from therapy.  Jennifer has the knowledge, education and experience to adapt her techniques to each individual's needs.  

With a sincere love for children, Jennifer wanted to offer individualized services focused on meeting the needs of families with children with speech, language, and feeding challenges. She decided to open Exceptional Therapy Services to expand the availability of therapeutic services to families in the Fort Myers area.   Jennifer is married with two daughters and a son and lives in Fort Myers, Florida.
